Meet the Founder
Zack Garelick
Founder and Fractional COO
Zack Garelick has spent 15 years in senior nonprofit leadership, including nearly a decade as Chief Operating Officer of Aish Toronto. He started there as a volunteer and rose to run day-to-day operations: the meetings, budgets, staffing, systems and follow-up that turn a plan into results. He knows the Executive Director's world from the inside, because he spent years working right beside that seat.
At Mikvah USA’s My Gift of Mikvah, Zack has led education programming, built a North American mentorship program pairing women with trained mentors, and launched multi-city outreach and monthly-giving campaigns. Each one meant building something from the ground up: defining the work, finding the right people, setting a weekly rhythm and keeping it going long after launch day.
Zack holds a degree in Economics and Sociology, and it shows in how he works. He gets to the root of a problem quickly, builds simple systems people actually use, and holds teams to what they agreed to, kindly and consistently. He is deeply loyal to the leaders he works with, and he is at his best when a team that felt stuck starts moving again.
He founded Iceberg to give Executive Directors the partner he knows they need: someone senior enough to own operations, and close enough to the work to make sure it actually gets done. Every engagement is led by Zack personally.
